The executive producer is a woman named Betsy Fischer. And I think the reason why the show has a such jr. high girl ethic and overall callowness is obvious just from a picture of her:
she's the one on the right
edit: What I see is someone who has decided to set the tone of her life based on the kerri bradshaw character from sex in the city. Her biography re-emphasizes this but it is the pictures (of which this is typical) that really capture it.
Note, I am not make a decision about her based just on pictures on the web, I am judging her from her work first and formost. I find her pictures and other information about her not just informative but exemplary what I see (and dislike) shining through in her show.
