I took the dogs to the park this morning we walked up the creek to the large falls (~1mi) at a fast clip and then took more of a casual pace back, still by the end of the walk clyde was panting hard and everyone's tounge was out. My foot is better than my endurance at this point. I need to get a daily/semi-daily activity going, but with my early ass schedule it is just now starting to get light early enough for me to do that in the morning before work. If I really do that it will mean going to bed before 9 and that seriously cuts into your ability to socialize and do stuff with people (not that I do that a hell of a lot now, but I'd like the option).

It was a good day at the park, saw several people I know (some even by name), saw a girl walking with a couple ferrets (and wished I'd asked if she let them swim in the creek), it was mostly dog people and a few athletes. The creek is at a nice normal level, I could cross it at the ford in my hiking boots. After I crossed back over the creek and did one las circuit of the upper field I was just bathing in good feeling. I don't think I have ever had such a clear cut palpable endorphin high.
