Texas smmendments
Oct. 26th, 2005 08:25 amMail my pennies to heaven for I can't use them here.
(That was just what came out of my fingertips without conscious volition, wonder what it means)
Finally got around to looking at the Constitutional ammendments on the ballot next week, except for the odious queer bashing second one I'm reluctantly to one degree or another in favor of the rest.
1 is necessary (and 9 helps) to get any sort of regional rail system implemented.
3 is needed to allow local governments to do jobs & community development programs without having to put them to a vote
4 allows the court to deny bail in some circumstances
5 allows high intrest rates for big commercial loans, removes some competative advantage from the megabanks
6 puts more people on the judicial conduct commission
7 allows for lines of credit on reverse mortgages
8 clears some land titles
