If drama queening is an exercise in emotional masturbation, how much emotional sex do we need in our lives? Is emotional masturbation wht we resort to when we can't satisfy ourselves emotionally sexually? I've thought the view of masturbation just as sublimation of interactive sexuality was juvenile and inane.
The problem with emotional masturbation is that it is never really masturbation, it's always involving other people (well almost always, driving in a car and "torturing" yourself with fantasies of loved ones death and the like is true masturbation). Emotional masturbation is usually more like frotteurism, or maybe flashing morally most suspect since it typically doesn;t involve others conscent.
