The drug years

I am watching a simply marvelous show on VH1, The Drug Years: Break on through. It is the first episode of a documentary series on drug use in america for the last half century. It is suprisingly good for a commercial tv show, it talks about how drugs, primarily acid, spawned a social revolution. Cool archival shots of ken keasey and the pranksters, pictures and serious discuiion of Owsely, in all really very well done.

The discussion of the drug mediated alternative communities that evolved in those circumstances made me feel very nostalgic.
