dyke movie weekend

I watched a couple of movies this weekend on tv. "Kissing Jessica Stein" and "Nadine's Adventures in Dateland". Nadine was very obviously a Janeane Garofalo vehicle and was pretty much a lame attempt at recreating "Cats and Dogs" only not as good. Not bad, just felt like there could have been more.

I'd heard disparaging sniffs about "Kissing Jessica Stein" in the queer movie circles but I liked it quite a bit. It was particular interesting to read afterwards that the women who played the leads wrote the movie and the play it came out of. The charecter Helen in it reminded me of sphinxie
