Mar. 28th, 2005 08:01 amevidently I missed this when this passed around the first time,
weise was the kid that shot up the school in minnisota. Not much there, they had the usual big comment frenzy like they did with the scut up in achorage who offed her mom, but then they turned off comments.
It's mostly just sad, like sticking your head into a bast furnace of rage and self-loathing. What, exactly, are we supposed to do with kids like that? What did I expect society to do with me. I don't think I had that level of nihilistic fury but my life was so much better than that poor kid.
"When he was 8 years old, Jeff's father committed suicide after a daylong standoff with police. His mother, who had remarried, was involved in a serious car accident that left her brain-damaged. She is confined to a wheelchair and living in a nursing home. Jeff moved in with his grandmother, who then left his grandfather, a tribal police officer"
The school system was trying to provides couseling, he'd spent a summer in a psychiatric hospital. But crap, what he needed a better life and he didn't think could happen.
