I don't think you are lying, I think you set up you account to automatically send you response that are made to your comments and didn't realize it. Posting the message headers would demonstrate definately whether it's that or stick sending them to you directly.

Scroll down until you see a section called "Privacy Options"
Keep going down until you see a checkbox next to an entry that says "Receive comment notification e-mails"

If it is checked everytime someone responds to one of your comments it sends you a message with that comment.
